Meet Sweetpea! She is a 7 lb, 2 year old Shihtzu/poodle mix. Yes, she is full grown, and yes, she is at a healthy weight ❤️ She is just small framed, and if you ask me the perfect size especially for cuddles ❤️❤️❤️❤️ which she absolutely loves to give!
She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, had a dental cleaning done, both ears examined/cleaned/and treated as a foxtail was found and removed in one ear canal, had a recent nail trim, and had an overall wonderful exam with our vet whome has cleared her to find a home all her own.
She is wonderful with other dogs, but does very much prefer dogs her size. She is VERY sweet with everyone. Men, women, and children alike. She however doesn't need other dogs in her next home for companionship as she is a great only dog and a would make a wonderful companion to someone all her own ❤️ She is NOT a barker, and will only bark when she is trying to tell you something, or if another dogs energy is to much for her comfort. But it's a quick, "hey stop with your energy and take it elsewhere," kinda bark to other dogs. She otherwise co exists beautifully with other animals, but is definitely a more low energy, serene tempered, calm natured dog.
She rides beautifully in a car, so if you travel she would love to accompany you.
Leash training is new; as her prior owners never took her anywhere out of the home that they didn't carry her to. She will master a leash in time; and thankfully is small enough to carry til then! And she doesn't mind one bit 🙃
She is phenomenal with the groomer and always looks forward to her spa days.
She is crate trained, and currently sleeps in her crate for nap time or if we step out of the home and have to leave her behind for a short while. She is perfect in a crate and doesn't fuss about it at all!
She is pad trained; and when we take her outside to potty she is always accompanied due to the wildlife in the area. She won't have an issue doing one or the other in her next home pending her new owners preference. She is very easy going; and aims to please. She wants to make her person happy, and in turn will make you happy she is yours! She loves loves loves to be in bed with her person at night, so if you enjoy having a bed buddy at night she would absolutely love that too! She loves laying on her back with all paws up, or will lay right next to you curled up in your arms. She is truly one of the sweetest dogs and one I'm going to miss immensely but it's her time to find her happy ending and I'm happy to be the one to find it!
Her adoption fee in total is 2000. It covers her spay, vaccines; microchip/registration, dental cleaning, nail trim, ear cleaning/fox tail removal, exam, grooming costs, time and care since with us; and her training we have personally done with her here.
