Josie

Meet Princess Josie. She is a 2 year old purebred toy poodle. She weighs right under 5 lbs. and yes, she is full grown, and at a very healthy weight. She is red in color with different tones of red and white accents throughout her coat. She is set to be spayed on 9/25/24 and will offically be available for adoption soon after. She will also be current on her vaccines, recieve a dental cleaning at time of her spay, be microchipped, have a thourel exam with our vet whom will clear her prior to adoption.

Josie. Josie. Josie. Where do I begin to tell you the pure joy this little girl contains. She is the definition of LOVE, JOY, and HAPPINESS all rolled into 5 lbs. She acts "shy" when she first meets folks she doesn't know, but I assure you it's her "royal act" because she is anything but shy! She is very outgoing, wildly independent, and LOVES to be at the center of whatever is going on around her. She is a busy body for sure, always having to know the latest scoop going on the midst of her dog friends 😂 A diva at her finest 🙃❤️❤️❤️❤️

She LOVES to be with her humans. If she can be with you, around you, or simply in rye sight she is her happiest little self. She does very well being a "PART" of her human/family and home. She is the tiny little friend your heart didn't know it needed. She is the missing lap warmer 😊 She loves to be in your lap when allowed! She is NOT needy in the sense of always wanting attention, but she never steers away from it when given as she truly is the princess 💕

She is AMAZING with ALL dogs, big or small. Literally, our Great Dane here is one she still is trying to win over 😏 She was also raised in a home with cats, so if you have a friendly cat friend, Josie would happily welcome her as one of her friends too (even if your cat didn't know she necessarily needed a friend in Josie 😉) Josie is beautifully spirited, HAPPY all the time, and just a JOY to be around.

She is house trained, and will go outside on schedule a few times a day accompanied due to her small size. She is conditioned to a crate if ever needed to be left in one, but doesn't use one in our home any longer. She has free roam of our home, and either sleeps on a dog bed at night in one of our bedrooms; or if she is able to convince someone here, she will gladly join you in bed at night 💕 She is leash trained, and really enjoys her strolls however she can get them.

She is amazing on road trips around town, and would make an exceptional traveling partner, whether by car, or plane as she is small enough to fly in the cabin with you in her own little carrier. She LOVES her spa days, because what princess doesn't love to be pampered 😏❤️

She is NOT a barker, but has learned to communicate with us when she isn't happy about something 😂 and that's typcially when a gate door closes before she is able to run through it to keep up with you, because again, remember she has to know the scoop and can't miss a second of anything going on and if she isn't in the room you are in, how is she supposed to tell all her friends about it later 😊

Her prior owner fell on hard times, and had to move back home with family. She could barley take care of herself, let alone Josie and didn't want her to ever know what it felt like to go without, so she asked us to bring her in and find her the absolute best home, and human/family.

Adoption fee is set at 2000 to include her dental cleaning that will be done as it will require additional anesthesia time, and antibiotics to go home. It appears she will only need a routine cleaning, but if extractions are needed for any reason that is also included in her adoption fee. It will also cover her spay, vaccines, microchip/registration, exam with our vet, the care involved in the length of time she has been here with us, along with her grooming costs, and training we have personally done.

Pictures don't show her true size, she looks much larger in the photos due to the "close up images," and the photos posted are her with a full coat. Once groomed, I will update photos and will attempt to capture her smaller stature ❤️
